Kazakhstan prosecutors charge ex-ambulance staff with $1.7m pandemic-era fraud

ASTANA. Jan. 12 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Four former officials from Astana's ambulance service have been charged with embezzling 850 million tenge by stealing vehicle parts during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kazakhstan's Prosecutor General's Office announced Monday.
