Russian subsoil users abandon over 550 sites in dangerous condition with licenses expired in 2025 - environmental watchdog

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Russian subsoil users have failed to fulfill their obligations to liquidate mine workings and wells at 556 sites whose licenses expired in 2025, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (Rosprirodnadzor) said.
