Kazakh PM orders stepped-up flood preparations amid forecast heavy rains

ASTANA. July 7 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) -- Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered regional authorities to prepare evacuation shelters, secure transport and update emergency response plans in anticipation of forecast heavy rainfall, the government press service said Friday.
